Kia ora koutou,
2023 has been another busy year for schools across the country and our team here at ERO.
This year, we moved from regional teams to one national team. As a result, we can work more collaboratively together and deliver consistently great evaluations up and down the motu. We have had some new people join our team, and we thank you for welcoming them into your schools.
We have now transitioned most schools to Te Ara Huarau. We appreciate your feedback on how this approach is working for you and your school. Your input helps us to refine the way we work, ensuring we drive meaningful change and improved education outcomes for all learners.
Next year, we will be providing clarification on what you can expect at each stage of an evaluation, how long our team would typically spend working with your school, and what our role and your role is along the way. Keep an eye out for this guidance in upcoming editions of Sharing the mahi.
We recently welcomed ten new Leadership Partners from a range of schools. These leaders join us as designated review officers and have an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our evaluation practice, and in turn, learn more about their own school. We hope they enjoy this unique experience. For more about our Leadership Partners programme, go to our website.
On behalf of everyone here at ERO, I wish you and your team a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy a well earned break, and we look forward to working with you in 2024.
