Kiwisport is a government initiative aimed at increasing opportunities for school-aged children to participate in organised sport.
In Terms 2 and 3, 2010, the Education Review Office evaluated the use primary and secondary schools made of Kiwisport funding, and the benefits and challenges of the initiative identified by schools.

Te Ara Poutama is the core of Ngā Ara Whai Hui: Quality Framework for Evaluation and Improvement in Early Childhood Services. This is the framework for ERO’s approaches to reviewing early childhood services. The indicators, for outcomes and processes, are a central resource for use by ERO and the services themselves in evaluating quality in early childhood education and identifying where improvement is needed.

In this evaluation, ERO met with newly graduated teachers (NGTs) and leaders in early learning services and schools to find out how confident and prepared NGTs were as a result of their ITE programme.
