Leading Innovative Learning in New Zealand Schools

The Education Review Office (ERO) visited 12 schools to see how they were preparing their students as 21st century learners. Leaders were innovative, rethinking and transforming teaching and learning to equip students with the knowledge, skills and qualifications required for their future. In doing so, they also maximised learning opportunities offered by digital technology and flexible learning spaces.

Learning in a Covid-19 World: How schools have stepped up to support students and whānau

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has caused significant disruption for students across New Zealand, due to lockdowns, social distancing and ongoing uncertainty. The Education Review Office interviewed 750 schools and surveyed over 2500 principals and teachers across the country, from May through to September 2020, to understand how they have responded. Evaluation Indicators for Kura Kaupapa Māori reviews

We worked closely with Te Rūnanga Nui o Ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori o Aotearoa (Te Rūnanga Nui) to develop and monitor a specialist review methodology for Te Aho Matua kura kaupapa Māori. These indicators are used during reviews in Te Aho Matua Kura Kaupapa Māori.
